Creative vision for Scoil Chroí Íosa

We are implementing a programme of learning through the Creative Arts in Scoil Chroi Iosa. Our aim is to provide our children with an education that is rich in creative thinking, learning and activity. We will provide a holistic approach to education and give each child an opportunity to express themselves creatively through visual arts, dance, music, drama, poetry, creative writing, cookery, gardening, woodwork, mindfulness, therapies etc.

Each and every child deserves the opportunity to access the Creative Arts in as many forms as possible, regardless of language, ability, financial status or otherwise. Our programme will ensure that all children in our school will avail of creative opportunities, which will contribute to every level of their development - personal, intellectual, emotional, social and spiritual.

To implement our Creative Arts Programme, we are currently forging partnerships with local, regional and national arts organisations so that we may benefit from their extensive experience. We are transforming the physical environment of the school to reflect our vision.

Our creative arts programme received the highest accreditation by receiving the Baboró 'Above and Beyond Award' for outstanding contribution to the arts in education.

See below photos of various activities.
